Located close to the railway station, Tourist Office and shopping streets in the town lies Square Philippe Lebon. Beautiful flowerbeds in the summer. Open-air poster exhibition during the Poster Festival. Wonderful view of "Old Chaumont" and the Suize Valley. Note the stone statue of Philippe Lebon (inventor of gas lighting). The original bronze was removed and melted down to make munitions. Children's playground.
