Description :

The village of Colombey-les-deux-Eglises became famous when it was chosen by General de Gaulle who bought a house there, La Boisserie, on 9th June 1934. The man who made the call to resistance on 18th June 1940 came to La Boisserie to think and write and it instils in visitors the sense of simplicity and family atmosphere. It is now open to the public and visitors can see the lounge, dining room and office containing numerous gifts presented to the General by foreign Heads of State. The visit continues with a stroll in the grounds around the house to enjoy the views that the General loved so much.
