CHATEAU OF DINTEVILLE
- 3 €
Description :
Situated in the south of Champagne on its borders with Burgundy, the Château de Dinteville was built in the 16th century around a large 13th-century keep. The Dinteville family, which gave François I a number of powerful courtiers, died out in 1607 with Joachim de Dinteville. In 1703, a nobleman named Le Brun restored the residence, retaining only one of the four façades. He also laid out the park in a regular design. Since then, the house and grounds have remained in the same family and it is keeping up the historic building in Champagne that is listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments.
